I had a gopro hero3+ black for about a year and a half an all of the sudden it started having issues with not wanting to start up, and now does a weird cycling of on/off repeatedly. Gopro customer service is awful, as is their warranty. I am going to replace the motherboard myself but I am also in the market for a new camera.
So now that my sad story is over I'm just wondering if any of you have any experience with the garmin virb cameras. I am specifically looking at picking up a garmin virb ultra 30. It seems to have everything I want in the gopro cameras but allows me to link all of my garmin ant+ devices and do metrix overlays. I have been hesitant of getting any of the previous virb models but if any of you have had them did they meet your needs, operate consistently, and have decent durability.
