We will be RV'ing for 2 weeks from MAy 10 to the 24th in Wyoming. We are picking up the RV in Salt lake city. We would like to include a few one day hiking trip using the RV as our home base at night. What hiking trails would you suggest as a must see ? We like to fly fish and picnic, etc. We also would prefer to camp in the wild and not in campground. What are the campfire restrictions in this time of the year ?
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Where exactly are you going in Wyoming? That should help to narrow down suggestions. Some big country out there.

Hi Nick, We will visit 3 areas. We are attracted to the mountains . We will start in the Bridger Teton area and Yellowstone. We will also visit the SE area Laramie mountains and Medecine Bow and Big Horn National Forest in the cental north . This a trip to see if we would like to move to Wyoming. We really love to hike but we haven't had the time to do much of it and reaaly want to get into it. I hope this helps.
Chris

This could be tough. Most of the really good stuff will still be buried in snow when you visit. Aldaron has done some exploring up in the Gros Venture wilderness. Maybe that would be better early in the year?

FYI - My buddy just got back from Yellowstone. He said there's still tons of snow up there, but he did see 6 Grizzlies!
