Utah’s Canyonlands National Park is known for its fantastically formed arches and pinnacles, its canyon mazes and pristine solitude. Famed photographer, James Balog, finds that the rugged, primitive land that he loves is being transformed by industrial development—right up to national park boundaries.

 
This is why some are pushing for a Greater Canyonlands National Monument.

Edit: I wonder how much harassment they received filming at some of those sites. Flying for the aerials probably drew some unwelcome attention.
 
Well made. I'm surprised the NPS hasn't filed suits against this nonsense. Even as it isn't in the park, there has been precedent set for effects of outside things effecting things in the park.

Short term gains vs. longevity. Too bad we sell out so easy. My vote goes for Greater Canyonlands NM.
