I have built a rustic frame or 2 hundred, but not this year to busy. They are pretty simple to make. I have my prints dry mounted to foam core at JoAnn Fabric since my wife works there. Then build my own frame. I don't deal with glass or mattes, cause that is where the expense comes into...
I ran over to one of my favorite places in Eastern Idaho a couple weeks ago Fall Creek Falls in Swan Valley.. I wanted to shoot it with my Phantom 3. I think the first time I came to this waterfall was over 20 years ago when I lived not to far away from it.
Here is the video if you want to...
I ran into this video after I posted a Zion one I made a couple weeks ago on Vimeo and this was posted a few hours before. It made me feel a little depressed since mine is way more basic. However I am going to just try and grow from that and work to get better, without changing skies :)
Over 10 years ago I took a cloudless sky photo and added a sky with clouds and showed some friends and told them what I did. I then got questioned on other photos about adding skies, or rainbows when I didn't. So I personally do not do that myself anymore.
Bringing this topic up I was...
This past weekend my wife and I got away and wandered around Zion for a day. I picked up a Feiyu Tech gimbal for my GoPro so we gave it a good test run. I added clips I added some other clips from last year and some time lapse videos to make this Zion video.
I hope you like.
Tonight was pretty good. I had that feeling at lunch so I grabbed my gear and left work early. Tried a new spot on Utah Lake since there are tons of people out shooting now. I didn't see another soul!
I feel I haven't been out much this year, but still had some great times.
Hit the Wave early this year, liked something other then the classic shot.
Made it out to Lake Tahoe for Spring Break, which it snowed a foot on us.
Lucky enough to catch some Northern Lights up in the Uinta...
@Artemus my time lapse videos I did carry a couple of 6 foot wood poles I bought on the trip then left them since I wasn't going to fly home with them. Then used parts from a kit I got from revolve camera to make my time lapse work. Some of which I just used a picnic table top to roll the...
I shot this video while on my trip last month traveling around Oregon, with a little of Washington too.
All video was shot with GoPro Hero4 Black, the time lapse videos were shot with a Canon 6D and 7D.
Hope you like.
Early last month I was lucky enough to go to the Gorge and around Oregon with my friend from down under to help play tour guide for a lady.
We hit many waterfalls and some other sweet stuff in that 8 days. Here goes with some of the stops!
Panther Creek Falls, Washington
Oneonta Gorge...
@Devo you can see the Curtains but not the vivid color. It was crazy what came out of the camera. Here is an article about why your eye vs camera sees it differently. Makes you wonder what you can capture at night now when you can't see it all...
