Bright Angel Trail.. Grand Canyon, Arizona

Bright Angel Trail is an amazing trail into the Grand Canyon. You can hike down as far as you prefer and turn around at any time. However don't let the descent make you think it'll be an easy hike back up. Plan your day before sunrise to start heading back before the afternoon heat. The first...

Blue Lakes Trail... Southwest Colorado in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness

lol that's a good picture but scary. I had this metal piece on my camera's tripod that would make this humming noise every time there was lightning in the area. It was a great warning system but I was always worried that it was acting like a lightning rod so I took it off.

Blue Lakes Trail... Southwest Colorado in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness

I've tried to climb Mt. Sneffels twice and both times did a mass dash to get off the mountain because of lightning. Those storms just come out of nowhere in that area.

Blue Lakes Trail... Southwest Colorado in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness

The Blue Lakes Trail just outside of Ridgway, Colorado has been on my list to hiking and photograph for years. I’ve seen these lakes from Blue Lake Pass, but have always been on the Yankee Boy Basin side. The Blue Lakes are located in a glacial basin in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness. There...

Notch Mountain Trail - Mount of the Holy Cross and Shelter - Minturn, Colorado

Thank you. I always think about those older photographers and their equipment they had. Today's photography equipment is so light weight and compact and its still hard to get all that to the top of the mountain. I just imagine having to get all that older camera equipment to a summit or remote...

Wire Pass Trail - Buckskin Gulch, Utah

One of the longest continuous slot canyons in the world, Buckskin Gulch passes through 16 miles of unique formations and sandstone walls. You can do a day hike or hike the entire length. If you are planning on camping in the canyon a permit is needed. Because of time I did the short hike down...
