Who's going out this weekend?

It's only Tuesday but already my thoughts at work are drifting towards the weekend. I'll be getting out for a short overnight for only the 2nd time in 2014, and I'm simply stoked.

I'm headed to Cold Mountain, on a stretch of the App. Trail in Virginia. Just a short night out, but I've really been craving even a one-night trip.

Who else is going to be notching bag-nights this weekend?

ME!!!! Found a spot close to Idaho Falls right next to the Snake River. Close enough I can run back and forth to organize camp gear that simply got jammed into my tent trailer for the move. And even has some great trail riding!

no overnight trips planned, but probably a day trip to uintas for some golden trout hunt.

Hahaha sometime today we will make it out for one night. 4runner desperately needs new tires. Sitting in Les Schwab making my camping list. Kids still sleeping.

I backpacked in Great Basin NP with @sixstringsteve , @Tess and @Mike K . We did the Baker/Johnson Lake Loop, nice high elevation temperatures and a lot of fun

I'm tempted to find a few people to do that close to the 4th of july. I hear GB usually isn't crowded even over a holiday weekend

you will love it there. A lot of great trails and backpacking trips in the park. I would love to go back and bag Wheeler Peak, but have other commitments around 4th of July.
