Album Weather, Storms and Clouds

Scott Chandler's mention of cows collecting snow reminded me of a pic I snapped a few winters ago back on the family farm during a snow storm.

LOTS of nice photos on the site, glad i came across it. here's one from greenwater valley in death valley national park from the weekend. felt more like high plains of wyoming or montana or such, so green and cool and fragrant. birds chirping away, wind blowing. ahhhhhhh...

From a quick fishing trip last Monday, there were some dramatic clouds from a spring shower cloud moving through. It looked like it should be raining but nothing was reaching the ground where I was.

Not really backcountry... Clouds between Baton Rouge and Dallas on Thursday from a different vantage point. Clouds are so amazing from a plane.

I was about fifty miles away in Newport, TN when the storm began to clear. I hopped in the truck and headed for Cade's Cove, passing through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge to get there. Traffic in Cade's Cove was bumper to bumper, but I managed to get a few shots as the storm cleared. By the time I could get to another good location, the storm had cleared.
