Utah Adventures Season 3

i'll bet it's incredible in the fall. I couldn't believe how green it was when we went.

I finally had a few minutes to watch the video today. Very well done Steve! It brought back great memories and like @Laura, I was smiling during the whole thing. I loved the snake crawling up Laura's leg. Great POV on that! Such a great trip! Thanks for making such a great video to capture a piece of it.

This SO deserves it's own thread!

Thanks. I don't know the best way to share these videos. It's pretty much a trip report, but I don't have many pictures. I'm all ears if you have a way to make these their own threads.

I am now dying to go float this again. We camped on an island just upstream from Register Rock last fall. It was huge then, but in your clip, only a few bushes are above water. How the river changes....

I know, I'm ready to go float it again. This video got me totally stoked to go again. I think it was a great time to float the river, but we definitely had to hunt for our camp spots, especially near bowknot bend.

Yvonne, feel free to make a TR of this trip using your pictures. You're welcome to link my video in there too.

Dude! That looks like some pretty intense paddling! And with half a paddle?! Looks way fun though. Can't wait to do it myself one day.

It was only intense because I'm such a noob. Having half a paddle definitely made a few sections more intense than they needed to be.

I'll be back again next year. I could have easily avoided the strainer. I was just preoccupied and got sucked into it backwards (after I had passed it). Never again. If you ever run this, leave tons of room between people going through here, and stay far right when you see that downed cottonwood and don't stop paddling 'till you've completely passed it.

The tree is gone--a friend of mine took care of it not long after your trip.

Wow, that was a big job! That will be nice in the future.
