I'm surprised Kevin Fedarko is so young. I envisioned an old weathered gray beard for some reason. Haven't finished the full version yet but will watch it tonight. When I was talking to the guy at Tex's that shuttled us, I asked him about the book after he mentioned he used to be a river guide. He guided on both dories and motorized baloney boats and said he liked the book but felt it was skewed in it's praise of dory boatmem. He said that any motor boat guide could paddle a dory down the grand canyon, but that not every dory guide could run a motorboat down the GC. I thought about that for days on the river kind of wondering what he meant by the comment.
