I successfully completed the High Sierra Trail to Mt Whitney hike the other week. It was absolutely amazing and stunning! I am still going through my almost 500 pictures in lightroom but will post my favorite ones here soon when I finish up my trip report.

Bottom line, if you are looking for an awesome week long trip, this one is absolutely amazing! Feel free to ask questions if you are looking into this hike down the road.

Right past the tunnel which is right after Hamilton Lake was our first tricky spot and first ice sheet. A little higher we hit our first ice fields. SUper slick, super steep. Needed ice axe and crampons to get past.

Here is the first snow chute we hit, it may not look to bad in the picture but it was sketchy as hell:

I know. Not looking bad and still able to kill. Those are the ones that can really get you.
