Every year, since last year, we have gone somewhere knew for Pi day (3.14). Last year was hiking in Moab, during the Corona Arch swing craze! We didn't do the swing but oh well.
This year we were in Zion National Park. Of course we did some canyoneering! Most in the group are fairly green to canyoneering so we did Keyhole and Pine Creek as a good crash course.
Here is the video to Keyhole:
Thanks to JamesM for helping us get the drysuits and rentals at Zion Outfitters. Without the gloves...probably would've died from the cold.
Excellent short trip if you need something to do in Zion (bored, other permits are full. etc.) It does require a permit, but it's a pretty easy one to get.
2 short rappels. Lots of water to swim in and a gorgeous slot canyon.
We got lucky with the gift of a deer at the end. Lucky cause it wasn't in the canyon.
