Just got home from what might be one of the coolest experiences of my life. 4 days floating the Green River through Labyrinth Canyon with @Ndheiner, @gnwatts and @baltocharlie. This was taken at our second campsite on the river just down stream from Keg Spring Canyon.

Quick over-nighter out west . Unseasonably warm night, just set out the cot and the bag and was plenty warm. Did the same thing first night of the Owyhee trip a couple weeks ago and got pretty chilled towards morning. Think it got down into the high teens that night. Don't think it got below 30 night before last though.

Planning on four or five nights in Nov., weather permitting, and another two or three in Dec., weather permitting. That's about it...

Haha! So 6 or 8 more nights in Nov and Dec?! That seems pretty dang good to me! I only have 3-6 more planned so I think you might be the champ once again this year!

As for me, just have to see what happens. Storms could wreck my plans. For that matter, if my back doesn't start to move in the right direction pretty soon, it could have me sidelined indefinitely... The last two trips have been really hard for me. It's tough just getting in and out of the vehicle. Walking, strangely enough, isn't that bad. But setting up, taking down camp, in and out of the vehicle, stuff like that is just pure agony right now.

I just wait until my semester is over mid December and start my camping and photography trip.
I have almost 3 weeks off, that means a lot of camp nights will come.
I'm stomping with my feet and can't wait.

Next trip will be somewhere over Thanksgiving ...

My goal is 50 nights and I'm getting close to my goal.
I will also break my goal of 500 hiking miles. So far I have 474 miles
Too bad I can't go each week due to school work.

I plan to do so with my winter tent and equipment.
It will be a good test for everything before I actually use it on real alpine trips in the future.

How many nights I will actually bag I will see. But I try to do as many as possible.
