Today I said goodbye and lost my best friend. I'm so confused with emotions. For 5 years we hiked almost every day. Many times twice a day. Not your leisurely walk around the block. Most was cross-country two plus milers.

Nope @langutah... it's in a non-trail area about 10 miles south of Grand Junction where I cross country hike with my dog. I try and stay in drainages so she can find water.
Originally I was thinking a minimum of 2 days. But next time I go I'm planning on 3 days. Some of the hikes are 8+ miles. Be aware that if any rain has occurred, don't even think about going until the roads are dry.
