Great eclipse photos, everybody! I failed in getting any that I was pleased with, while in SE Utah for the annular eclipse, and it was pretty much a non event here in Calgary with only about 25% of the sun covered. We did watch it while lunching on our deck, using the cheapo gas station eclipse...
The sandhill cranes were off my radar until two encounters last year, when I learned from a birding friend that there are some that summer in southern Alberta, and others that are migrating through on their way north.

Thunder Mountain and the Bluewater Glacier, last week near Campbell Icefield, B.C. After two winters of lean snowfall combined with hot summers, all those crevasses did not make skiing the glacier appealing at all.
