Best Cedar Mesa/Bears Ears Guide Books?

I have not. I've been quite absent on this forum the past couple years and had not yet done any searching through the forum for additional posts on that canyon specifically. I will look at that though. Thanks!

Best Cedar Mesa/Bears Ears Guide Books?

Thanks. I am just looking for general info, not step by step info on ruins, etc. I just find using a mix of blogs, videos, guide books to gather general route info as I map out a route helps provide more confidence going into an area I am less familiar with. For example, I have a route mapped...

I am looking for guide book suggestions for the Cedar Mesa/Bears Ears area. I've spent a lot of time reading blogs, watching videos and planning trips based on maps, etc. I've been through some of the canyons, but looking to expand my exploration of the area. Would love any suggestions you have...

The Lower Gulch - Escalante (Seeking info on the route)

At this point from getting info from rangers and others, this route is a no go. I am being told that it's a cattle zoo and pretty trashed. Gonna head somewhere else.

The Gulch to Horse Canyon Loop - From Burr Trail

I am looking for any additional information that any of you have about The Gulch starting from the Burr Trail. The Road Trip Ryan website has a really cool looking route that starts from the Burr Trail, hikes down to the Escalante River, then down to Horse Canyon, and up Horse Canyon with an...

    Ribzz Front Back

I am late to the game here, haven't logged into this forum for a bit. But to give my 2 cents in addition to my video you linked. The biggest con of the ribz pack for me is how freaking hot it is. I sweat pretty bad with it and it makes it pretty uncomfortable in the summer. It however is very...

    First Look at Ultralight Tent

Yes, the total weight of the tent is 5 ish pounds. If you take away the foot print and stakes you get down to that trail weight advertised. It’s a nice tent and think for the price it’s worth it.

Nate’s Canyon/ Spring Canyon San Rafael Swell

I am trying to plan a route in the swell that I’ve not done before and am thinking of going the week after thanksgiving. Gonna be cold for sure, but why not try. Anyone done Nate’s canyon and spring canyon by Mexican Mountain? Would do two nights as a loop. Curious about water sources and...

    Mount Agassiz Beta

Hey guys, unfortunately Summit Post is very little help as far as beta for hiking Mount Agassiz. The plan is to head there this weekend and go for the summit via Naturalist Basin. Questions though... I haven't made it to the Uintas yet this year, so curious what snow conditions are at the high...

Kayaking Leigh Lake | Grand Teton National Park

I haven't done a trip report in a while, but I had such a great time on this trip, I wanted to share it with everyone. This summer I will finally graduate from UVU with my degree in Outdoor Recreation Management, and this trip was the final trip i'd take for my college career as a student. I...

    San Rafael River

This is one of my favorite places in Utah. It's a bummer you didn't read the map right, cause the Virgin Spring panel is really cool. It's small, but I think it's really unique. Camping at the mouth of Virgin Spring is great too.
