Wild, Bob! We have had over 10" since Jan. 1. Plenty of roof problems with ice falling and breaking the deck in multiple spots and two inside drip leaks. How is your new house and roof holding up?

Great trip and great report, Hugh! I am glad you got to see sign of the endangered Mexican Grey Wolf. They are struggling to build a viable population as a recovery population here. They keep getting killed. I saw no sign of them on my backpack there. Did you hear any?

Wonderful account, mister! The writing and the pictures help bring it to mind but the magnitude of the adventure is not done justice. Having a serious encounter with a grizzly by yourself way back in just emphasizes the low key nature of your account. Kudos lad, you are one of my backcountry...
