    Escalante dumpsters

Fyi. The dumpsters at hwy 12 and the hell's backbone road are NOT FOR PUBLIC USE. Those are the only dumpsters for those that live along the hell's backbone road. We know people that live along that road, and they need that space. Pack it in, pack it out.

    Solstice trip

Oh boy! I've walked the canyons you went through there. Def recognize the bypass you are doing above the water in the first set. @Nick and I tromped through the water. The rest looks...too good. I had a plan to reach a summit on the other side of the Henries last winter break, but there...

    Wind River Mountains Snowpack 2019/2020

The winds are open. I hiked Sweetwater TH to Little Sandy, up over Coon Pass, then looped back to Sweetwater TH. There was lots of suffering up high due to snow. Mossies are already there so put your adult pants on and deal. https://photos.app.goo.gl/auPeRAbVirvZiFDS6...

    Guess the spot: Utah Edition

Not to mention the vast amount of spent shells, and garbage they don't pick up. Bums me out.

    Wind River Mountains Snowpack 2019/2020

Should we use this thread for Wind River Conditions for this season too? Anyone have ideas if they are accessable(ish) yet? I might have weekend in June, and it's getting to hot in the desert.

Family hike in the Maze in June? (Canyonlands / Moab) Am I crazy?

Not in June that's an ambitious hike. 9 mile loop before 11? The hiking is well cairned, but still tricky (slow) routefinding getting in and out of canyons. There is not a lot of shade when you are out of the main canyons. If it was just a couple of adults I'd say give it a shot, it will be...

Looking at buying a used travel trailer opinions wanted.

I've been passively looking at https://www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com/ for a couple years. It would be easier to get my kids out with something like that. The fiberglass shell's don't disintegrate like the more common rv's, and really hold their value. As long as there isn't something...

Two kids and the Red River Gorge

I was supposed to go to the RRG for a family trip over spring break. Wanted to do a little climbing there. It really that bad @BJett ? MY brother lives in Nashville, so we're always looking for little side trips we can make while we are out there. Mammoth Caves NP was a very pleasant...

    2020 Spring Beatout traverse

Stunning. I've been doing a lot of ski touring in the wasatch this winter, and I agree. Looks better with a blanket of snow.

Coyote Gulch to Halls Creek via Stevens Canyon

@John Morrow went outside the crack in the crack in the wall. You can make that a little safer, but it's pretty simple. The class 3 ramp onto the wingate felt like a super simple ramp to me. Poison ivy slip hill was probably the crux for me, but still simple, easy to follow. If you've done...

    COVID-19 Affecting Your Plans?

Shout out to my wife! Oh, and a shout out to me! I'm definitely going a little crazy stuck in the house. Spring is the time to get out again. Might not till June at this pace.

5.7 mag Earthquake in Salt Lake City Area - Check in Here to Let Us Know You're Okay

Nothing I can tell, few bottles fell, but didn't break. Trying to make the house a sanctuary of sorts while we ride out the covid crisis, then this happens. Throws a wrench at that.
