2001: A Space Odyssey in Utah

And apparently this is the final image of it being taken away by our monkey wrenching heroes. They said “You don’t leave trash in the desert,” and “Leave no trace,” as they pushed it over.

2001: A Space Odyssey in Utah

Looks gone to me. They have a photo in the canyon without it there anymore. Glad it is gone, although it should have been removed by authorities before it was announced to the news.

2001: A Space Odyssey in Utah

I am not trying to find it, I’m just curious how far from a road it is. Is it impressive that they carried it there or is it a short hike? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Arscenic, Blarney, Wildhorse Window, Moonshine, Colonnade, A Secret

If I open the tailgate, I can sleep in the bed, but on this trip I just lean the seat back and park on an upslope somewhere, and I sleep fine. Being tired from hiking helps. Thanks for the nice comments, good to hear from you, Dan and Art.

Arscenic, Blarney, Wildhorse Window, Moonshine, Colonnade, A Secret

Thursday, March 23rd, 2017, my coworker Tyler and I took the last two days of the work week off and headed down to North Wash for some quick and easy canyons. The weather was insane the whole way down until about 30 miles south of Hanksville, where it cleared up. The forecast was a pattern of...

    Running Shoes vs Boots

I hate all hiking footwear, as I never don't get a new blister in a new place due to some design oversight in the shoe. Do the people who design these things ever put them to use?

    Art in the Parks

Zebra Canyon has been defaced with a big Heart surrounding the words "2016 Kenny + Aryn" it is circulating on Facebook and I am 99% sure who did it from Facebook sleuthing. I reported it to the Kanab field office. Here is the vandalism: Moderator note: photo of alleged perpetrators removed...

Flash flood fatalities at Water Canyon

I sure don't remember seeing any high ground when I was in Keyhole. Once you are in, there's no way to get out of the flood path until you are finished. I predict the news will continue to be tragic in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Where is this Arch?

It's Covered Wagon Bridge. 37°39'36.08"N 111°33'48.78"W I've been close to it but never hiked to it.
