I've seen bears on a couple occasions up there

Just went through Fox lake, Kidney lakes, painters basin, atwood lake, and the chain lakes and besides a little bit of mud it was awesome!

Headed up to the eastern uintas on June 26 and we'll be on the highline trail for part of out trip. Anyone have input on what we're gonna run into? We'll be going by chepeta lake, atwood lake, and the chain lakes area I believe

Well, lets just say we got a little closer than we should have! I guess she felt threatened, and decided to charge. It didn't help that we were in snwoshoes, and as I tried to run away I tripped and fell! Luckily she realized we weren't much of a threat and backed off. I'll never forget that one!!

These are all from Mt. Timpanogos. The mountain goats were fine with us being that close but the Moose wasn't as happy about it, and decided to charge us. (Maybe because she had a calf, as you can see in the background, oops).
