    Baja's El Camino Real again

Excellent TR, thank you. "I ended up waking up in the ambulance with a paramedic saying over and over again to his partner he had never seen a blood pressure so low." This was a dream? I once encountered a guy at the Lukeville border crossing who had been beaten and rolled in the cactus. He...

    The Pfeifferhorn - July 14, 2022

Many years ago I hiked to Red Pine Lake. On the way, I passed a spire rising from the floor of the canyon/valley. Some hikers told me that it was the Pfeifferhorn but obviously it wasn't. It was a spire maybe 100-200' high. Looked like it would be good for climbing. Does anybody know the name of...

    Hello from Michigan/Tennessee!

Welcome. What part of Michigan? I'm from the Detroit area and spent every holiday weekend in the summer in the UP. I'm limited to vehicle camping now but I'm still able to get away from the crowds.

"I'll take the High Road ..." - A Loop Hike around the Canyons of Needles - May 2022

Amazing report and pics. Thank you. I've never heard it called Cathedral Point. I've always called it Big Pocket Overlook. I've been there many times in the last 40 years but have never found anybody there when I got there. I suppose the chances of that happening again are getting slim.

    Guess the Spot--DIY version

I just found this thread. Is it okay to just post? Here's one I did on commission. It was to have a Canyonlands theme. When I was checking the glass piece I left the kiln open too long and it cracked as if it knew what I wanted to do. I filled it in with blue powder and fired it again. The...

    Hello from Omaha

If it's too hot you can go up on top. Elk Ridge, Bears Ears. Heavy woods, lots of shade, and cooler temps.
