Spectacular! I've been to most of those places and they never looked like that before. Interesting to see the light-painting of the wave. What kind of light were the German's using - looks like it had to be fairly big?

Wow - awesome video. Of the 3 times I've done that trip, it's always been late fall, so I can't imagine (even with dry suits) sliding into and splashing in the pools - how fun! Thanks for sharing.

Amazing story - so well written! BTW, think we took that wrong turn on our first trip to the wave, but I guess luckily turned around.

I've been to Water Canyon several times mainly rappelling (it's great fun - most raps through waterfalls and into pools). I've never heard about the white dome before... looks like a trip back is in order (I don't like the drive in though - it's pretty uncomfortable driving through that town).

Thanks so much for sharing and also the others that did. We've hiked in this area at the same time of year for over 6-7 years now. There's always some kind of weather on our trip. I always question the clouds and stay out of the washes if it's threatening. But, I really didn't think those...

Thanks so much Nick. When I saw some of your trails a couple of years ago, I did some internet searching on how to do this, and didn't have a lot of success. You make it sound easy! I will look forward to trying this out when I get back on the trails.
