North Caineville Reef Road runs from Caineville Wash ( 12S 0497687 4246488) along North Caineville Reef to the Factory Butte area.

As far as I know some people don't like it for its dull gray colors hostile at a first glance.

More than 10 years ago we saw the area from the east side, but didn't enter it.

The picture above was taken in the afternoon. Pretty gray, isn't it?

In 2013 we were on our way to Moab and decided to try the road from the Caineville side. It was after 6:30 pm, but in May daylight is pretty long into the evening.

Some pictures from the trip. No further description of the road, there are practically no branches. The end is at Coal Bench Road even if the last stretch might be called Coal Wash Road(?).

Factory Butte

We found the road along Coal Wash flooded had to drive around an elongated pool, but not a serious problem.

some great stuff, and that first picture of the gray is great.
spent several weekends in that area, when my dad first got a jeep and wanted to try out any obscure strip of dirt he could find. The areas around Caineville fit right up that alley.

I love that stark beauty. The first picture is stunning. Another place I've never heard of, but now I wanna go.
