I'm planning a trip in September to backpack around the Beartooths and looking for some info on some lakes:
Narrow Escape, Martes, Jay, Chalis / Flood creek Drainage and surrounding lakes.
Hiking in from box canyon and wondering which lake in the area might have some great camping away from outfitter camps (Fish/Mirror/Pinchot?)
Targeting Cutties and goldens, has anyone been up to these lakes and have any info? I heard flood creek drainage is impassable but the lakes are rumored to have some good fish...Worth the torture??
In addition to these lakes, I'm also looking into some near Goose lake:
Courthouse, Otter, Weasel, Surprise
(Best place to setup camp around here for a 3-4 day exploration of surrounding lakes? Anyone had good luck in these?)
