Today’s adventure took me to Moreau State Park in the eastern Adirondacks. The park has a prettier extensive trail network. I chose a lollipop loop on the western edge of the park, up above the Hudson River, along an esker. Much of the time I was hiking in the woods through mixed hardwoods, hemlocks, and white pines. There were a couple overlooks allowing for views of the Hudson and the hills beyond.

4.25 miles, 800+ elevation gain.

Nice @kwc ! Are the black flies out yet?

They were buzzing about but not biting on my hike up Hadley but none were around at Moreau. It’s been pretty windy lately so that’s kept them quiet. Very cold last night (freeze warnings everywhere) so that might slow their appearance!
